BIOGRAPHY

I am José Carmona (k-ant), born in the city of Cartagena, Murcia (Spain) in 1971. Graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Valencia in 1995. Graphic design teacher in occupational vocational training courses of the INEM of Murcia for several years.
In 2017 I create, under the pseudonym k-ant, the NOARTE movement, halfway between philosophy and Art criticism, with the purpose of understanding and defining the current modern Art, for this I convene the competitions Art for Beans and, with the collaborations of l@s participants, a series of three books that compose as a whole a theory of modern Art is created.
In my artistic facet, as José Carmona, I begin a series of more aesthetic and commercial works, some of them with a synthetic and colorful style, others with a certain social criticism and in others I work on concepts related to the mechanization of society.
In this more commercial facet some of my works have been selected in various painting contests, although my work is always printed, as I prefer to use the computer and digital techniques rather than the manual technique, which I consider a legacy of the past that condemns artists to a forced craftsmanship. On the other hand, the digital technique frees us from manual work to focus the attention on what really matters in the work: the idea that it tries to represent, over the technique, which takes a second place.
